Snoopy Adult CostumeEveryone loves Snoopy, and dressing up in any Snoopy Costumes for Adults as the popular beagle is a great Halloween costume idea!

So if you have a few minutes I’d like to share some ideas on making your own Snoopy costume – or you can always buy one of the pre-made examples of  Snoopy Costumes for Adults (or any of his friends) as seen on this page, simply by clicking on them to learn more.

First of all, a Snoopy costume would first require a basic white head to toe look. The easiest thing to to do would be to purchase a solid white, long-sleeved sweat shirt and solid white sweat pants, along with a basic white turtleneck. To make your hands and feet look like Snoopy’s big paws, wear big all white gloves and white tennis shoes and socks too.

On the back of the sweatshirt, you should paint or applique an oval black spot. Snoopy does have a spot on his back after all. You could also paint this on with fabric paint or glue on a separate piece of black material to achieve the spotted look we’re going for here. And don’t forget Snoopy’s tail! This could be a piece of white fabric, rolled up to look like a thin rope. Just turn both sides under and stitch them down firmly so that the material won’t unroll. The tail should then be stitched to the lower backside of the sweatshirt.

If you don’t have white material handy, you could also use a piece of white rope or cording. I would recommend attaching the tail to the bottom of the sweatshirt rather than the pants themselves. You’ll find it much easier to move around and to dress or undress as needed.

And you should also wear the turtleneck under the sweatshirt for solid look when designing your own Snoopy Costume for Adults. Snoopy wears a collar sometimes, so get an inexpensive black or red collar and put it around your neck for more “authenticity”.

To continue your costume for Snoopy, find a white knit cap which will fit closely to your head. Try to completely cover your hair. On either side of that cap you should attach long, black, floppy ears. Lucy Adult Costume

These could be made of the same fabric as the spot or the tail, if you like. Felt would be a good choice to use too, as it’s easy to cut and very inexpensive. Just stitch an ear on either side of the cap and you have your basic beagle look down!

The perfect makeup for Snoopy Costumes for Adults is easy too! Just paint the end of your nose black with Halloween makeup. It’s readily available with other Halloween costume accessories and usually costs a few dollars.

A few other ideas for the perfect Snoopy Costumes for Adults is that Snoopy never goes far without his adorable sidekick, Woodstock. Why not get a picture of Woodstock and glue it on the front of a trick or treat bag? You could also carry a small stuffed Woodstock around while in costume.

Woodstock Adult CostumeAnother accessory that Snoopy could carry is a dog dish. You could write “Snoopy” on it and use it to carry your Halloween candy in. Just keep in mind that your dish might fill up fast, and have another sack available to dump all your loot into.

We all remember that Snoopy went trick or treating as the World War I Flying Ace one Halloween. To complete this look, just add a long red scarf to your costume instead of a collar and instead of a white cap, wear a brown one, with ears attached and a pair of goggles on the top to complete the Flying Ace look. You could carry a trick or treat bag with “Curse You, Red Baron” painted on the front.

Of course, Woodstock could still tag along for the Halloween fun. Maybe you and a group of friends could all dress up as several different “Peanuts” characters. It’s certain, though, that in this Snoopy costume you’ll have the best of any Snoopy Costumes for Adults at any Halloween party that you’ll attend!
